What is the update plan for F/ a-18c this week?

It was the PLID video from the mini-updates I believe.

I heard no mention of staff meeting or TPOD in that video. All I heard was upcoming beta.

Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz

Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6(Assume the latest driver version)

Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System

Windows 10 Professional

Oculus Rift-S /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies

Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals

Look through the comments. It was a reply to a question by Wags. It wasn't in the video.

What other systems still need to be completed before Track While Scan can be implemented?

They're developing TWS now - it says so in the update. I don't think anything is blocking it or it needs other systems - otherwise they'd mention them in the updates instead of TWS.

I could wait another 2 or 3 months now. It's impossible to fly DCS at the moment anyway. Way too hot and the long lasting excessive performance issues brought with 2.5.4.28461 still do persist without any statement.

But I guess if it drops earlier I'd still go though the pain and try it out at least icon_redface.gif

Dam it, I'm so looking forward to the Pod... but after reading the mini I say we are still a month off.. same goes for TWS... think I'm going to have to D/L the Mod for the F14 pilot control for pod to get my fix lol

I also need to get my CASE III in stormy weather 100%.. not easy

Or get a RIO. Or the A-10C. Or the Harrier. Many options ;)

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

I broke down and got the mod for the 14. It's amazeballs, but the LITENING pod is not 100% complete either. Area track and point track break a lot of the time... just straight up refuse to track ground points... but i have so few controls mapped to my HOTAS as a 14 pilot, that I welcomed the extra POD controls. 100% worth getting... be warned, thought, they may take it away, and that'll be devastating... it's that good. I buddy laze for 18's ALL the time now.

Hornet development is going at the same pace. It is simply that the current systems being modeled involve a lot more coding and take a bit longer to bring to the users.

Ignorant posts like your are the reason ED goes silent when they do.

Well said!

The quantity and quality of amendments to the F-18 in today's update, knocked me down :( .

I was expecting the SA PLID thing at least. But see it differently: They're working so hard on the TGP and other vital stuff they couldn't bring all planned new features today icon_redface.gif

Same procedure as every two weeks... rdlaugh.png

All "easy" work has been done...now that the complex work is in progress everyone complain! Just wait for the development...when it get ready, we'll appreciate that!

I think ED has a lot of patience, because there are a lot of complains about people that bought the Hornet knowing that this is a Early Access and think that this should be a complete product.

Come on guys, let's get these shiny guys to work! Until that, fly the bird!

MSI work is still ongoing. Some issues remain, hence the reason it wasn't in the changelog.

I don't mind leaving this thread to discuss Hornet updates, but if it's going to be used to trash ED or vent frustrations then I will need to close it.

Yes and it doesn't work
Shame but luckily I'm in holidays and then.in business trip. I won't be back home in the next 3 weeks ! :) I hope they fix it by then and bring TWS on. I'm in AA guy, I will barely need TGP.

I am also on the page of waiting lol. Everyday is a steady 100 to 104. Only give it about 20 minutes in vr before I’m sweating too much lol

Flooding out HMDs in sweat isn't that good methinks icon_question.gif

I'd rather have to wait for the nice things than to have to wait for temps that I actually can use them at rdlaugh.png

I could just fly withour VR though... but flooding a wooden desk isn't any better. Once that 1080 goes off, I'll have 5+°C more room temp in no time.

You can't watch the girls on the beach though with TWS... dealwithit.png

Just an update as well, we do plan another Open Beta update next week with additional Hornet features/fixes.

This time of year is a big time for vacations right through August, so it can slow down how fast these things move at times.
