I believe you are thinking of this http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/equip/an-alq-199.htm It is rarley used on the a-10 to my knowledge, compared to the 131. I also know that it is not in lockon, so that may be where you are confused. The 199 is a much more elongated, but was not what was modeled here. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/equip/an-alq-131.htm That is what they were shooting for.
