We noted that the barometric pressure setting was abnormally high on the Gulf mission, 31.5 or so.  This is not within the normal ranges of barometric pressure found here on earth.  🙂  I changed it in the ME to be 30.3, slightly high of norm for the fair weather in the mission.

 

It being abnormally high means some aircraft cannot adjust their settings to read 0 altitude at sea level.

 

Edit: reset it to 29.92 as it seems the Hornet cannot adjust above 30.  also, since we are doing hot starts (limited game time) the altimeter may not get adjusted properly during that simulated start.

Also noted that all ships (even the carriers) are all set to the same radio frequency.  I do not think that is gonna work for calling in for landing, etc.

 

also, it seems the zeus functions still do not work?  can anyone else confirm or deny zeus functionality in 2.2.1?

Thank you for the work, I love flying these missions!

 

My only real issue is the hot start for the Viper in the Caucasus. The other maps are all cold and dark, but the hot start really throws me for a loop.. I always set my pit switches to cold and dark by default, so if I load up that mission, things tend to lose their minds.

- Moose update
- Moved all planes to the same starting location on all scenarios
- Regrouped all planes
- Fixed an issue for A2A BAI tasks not removing the menu after mission success
- Updated Jtac units to a neutral coalition to avoid minor problems
- Added new clouds
- Changed day to april 27th (supermoon, if you want to see it change mission time)
- Fixed some units removed after the update (name change maybe?)

- Moose update
- Changed the spawn logic for A2G BAI - HARD - Task, now the target is just a normal BAI asset group + a random SEAD + AAA defense (destroying the main target will trigger a mission success, disbanding the SAM and AAA groups from the area)
- BAI and SEAD tasks now spawns with additional sub-groups of AAA units, those groups are going to disband when the main task target is destroyed
- Removed A LOT of unused units / group templates
- Added a menu to call A2A or A2G escorts (max 10 alive escorts at the same time) this escorts will follow, report, and attack targets following your radio menu commands
- Removed some "log spamming" functions (bad scripting on my side, created a loop)
- More cleaning of the core script

Dev team erased my mission files from User Files section, lost idk... 6k+ downloads on the older missions uploads AFAIC

 

2.2.7 is up and free at:

Hi @Mith86Arg

Great missions you put together. I was wondering, if I wanted to throw this mission back in time (1960-1970) can I just change units in ME and keeping The Name as before or is there a lot of script-work to do? Would love to change ground and air units to that time-frame as well as Client units. The last thing seems to be straight forward but what about those other units?

Since i started to work on this kind of mission a long time ago, my main goal was to just create a training environment for me and my squadron, but i don’t like to “know” from where to bad guys are going to come from… then i found MOOSE and started learning the code.

This is the result (and im still learning)

 

By default, 2 Air To Ground task (BAI, SEAD) and 1 Anti Ship task will populate the map, there are more than 100 possible task spawn locations, also, 4 CAPs will be spawned (2 red VS 2 blue)

There is no need to join or subscribe to any task to be able to complete them, the script will check over time if each task targets are alive or not, if not, a new task will be generated. Information about task location can be viewed on the F10 Map, or accesed via Custom Radio menu.

 

BAI and SEAD tasks spawn with their respective JTAC unit above using JTACautolase script, also, AAA bateries will be spawned on 2 random selected areas near the AO.

 

The mission comes with some inner functions disabled by default, this options can be accesed opening the mission in the MISSION EDITOR then opening the TRIGGERS SECTION, there you can control and tweak the mission parameters to your needs

I tried to make all versions the most “performance friendly” possible, it only spawns something if a previous group got totally wiped out.

EDIT: if u wanna add some MOD planes, just copy any client group and change the plane for the one you want, my script recognizes the “dingbat font” (the little plane in front of each client group name) to add it to the set of clients planes ready for tasking…
