Sounds like production units will start shipping in the next week or so, they want to give people time to add extensions / z kits to their existing orders. The product looks to be of high quality and they appear to be ready with an initial batch of HOTAS setups. Given that people paid $800 months ago with the promise of the pre-order period ending in Sept, they should start shipping the pre-orders.
