New RAM and a new GFX Card

Recommended Posts

Just looking for some input.

All prices i will show are in USD :)

Ok so i wanna get a new graphics card and 1gig RAM without paying too much .

So i found this cool site that sells them for what i believe to be dirt cheap :D

Sapphire X1650 Pro 512MB AGP 8x Video Card Retail ***Free Shipping***

For... $89

Corsair VS1GB400C3 1GB DDR400 PC3200 CAS3 Value Select Memory Retail ***Free Shipping***

For... $56.90

Permission to fire credit card? :)

Currently i only have 1gig DDR-400, and a ATI Radeon 9550

So i hope it'll be a big boost for me.

NewEgg is the site i was looking at before.

They don't ship to Australia my friend told me, i couldn't find any info to confirm this but that's why I moved on.

Thx for your input there, that bit of text:

but what about cooling, will I need to worry about this even though I probably wont overclock?

looks like you have a good deal there... I stil haven't found a better deal to where you live..

a while back I ordered some computer stuff and got back $20.00 cash instantly for using Google checkout when paying through google ($10.00) plus another $10.00 for using paypal.

I got that $20.00 . I am not sure if Google is still giving people this $10.00 USD for using them.... the merchant must be part of this deal,, look before you do, just in case..

this is it..

Wow thats good stuff.

Ill have to look into that.

I set up a site and a forum recently so I could earn some kind of stable cash. It has a VIP Section where you must have 3.50AUD to get into. The only reason I expect people to join is for the benefits or because its cheap lol.

still the question of the CPU remains..

get the Radeon X1950 Pro Pci-e along with the Asrock Motherboard dual cpu slots, agp/pci-e all for about $200. it will take your P4 cpu, the agp video card and ddr ram.

but you would need at least a good quality 550 watt power supply. so that bumps up the cost to $300.00 for all.

Going back to your original plan,,, I just worry the Radeon X1650 just won't do the job...
