rogue_blade
I say learn to design 3D models before you learn to program them [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Solidburn
There's a good 3D modeler out called Anim8tor. It's free and it's fairly flexible. GGTharos
You would be basically wrong, then, as designing 3D models has little to do with game programming. To the OP: You need a strong understanding of a language like C++ first, which is not to say you cannot gain this while trying to program a game. I suggest doing a search on google for something like 'game design book' or 'game programming book' ... those tend to be a reasonable start. Kula66
O'Reilly do a book 'Physics for Game developers' ... looking at that you need pretty good maths too!
Mugatu
Start by learning the language first and the principles of software design. Knowing the basics of OO will help you master C++ before moving on to games. There's plenty of free tuts around such as: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/java/concepts/ http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/
