Integration of 9-line in kneeboard

Would be nice with a generated 9-line card within "kneeboard". Just have a standard 9-line card with the information from the JTAC in red text or something

It's hard enough to remember or write it down in time, especially in VR (primary reason why I think we need it)

Lat/long would also be good to have 3fb6719e2249b134ccebfa5b7772b309.jpg

My advice: if you have an iPad, get Notability and you can add pdf's of whatever you want to your little hearts content and make your own kneeboard. Forget DCS, ED and using the [ and ] keys forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever until you get to the page you want.

Doesn't particularly help in VR, though…

Seconded! Heck, let's even extend this idea to a kneeboard page that would log all communications.

+1 I just came across this and it's an excellent suggestion for aircraft that don't receive the data automatically in messages, such as the A-10C.

The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord.

Actually, I wouldn't want it to work fully automatic to give you comms to read back. It would defeat the purpose of doing these things via datalink where available.

Not necessarily, you'd still need to read it off the kneeboard and input it into the aircraft.

I wonder if a kneeboard page you can draw on/type on would be a solution?

Most of the 4th Gen Fighters now can receive 9-lines via digital CAS/Link 16. So not sure why DCS can't model that in the current Hornet and Viper. I agree in VR, it would be amazing to have the 9-line written out for you in a digital format to refer back to as writing it down now is pretty much impossible.

Yeah, would welcome this. :)

Also, maybe also an extra page for whatever one puts in the briefing in the ME.

Yay this. Otherwise in VR one needs to pause the game in order to call the mission briefing, memorize lat coordinates, unpause to input coordinates in the plane, re-do it for lon coordinates because committing 8 figures to short-term memory is the max I can do :smartass:.

Having the mission briefing with target coordinates on the kneeboard would be infinitely more practical.

Vaicom Pro does write down 9-lines automatically in their voice-controlled kneeboard. You can even dictate free text to it.
