tmdgm
Trying to get a feel for the russian jets after mastering the F-15 . Where is the time to active for the R-77? Boy, you really get a sense of how crappy the sidewinder is compared to the IR russian missiles. Even the amraam seems ineffective, but not as bad as the sidewinder, when comparing with the russian missiles. Also, is there a picture like the one below for russian radar? If the pic doesn't show, it's in this link from TekaTeka. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=25795&highlight=tmdgm

ФрогФут
Also, is there a picture like the one below for russian radar? If the pic doesn't show, it's in this link from TekaTeka. AFAIR, there is in manual. "Я ошеломлён, но думаю об этом другими словами", - некий гражданин Ноет котик, ноет кротик, Ноет в небе самолетик, Ноют клумбы и кусты - Ноют все. Поной и ты. Azrayen
Also, is there a picture like the one below for russian radar? In russian fighters, those data are shown in the HUD, not the MFD display. And you don't have the minimum/maximum altitude scan, but a mean altitude scan (exprimed relatively to your current altitude, max & min are +/-5°) at the range selected manually. Cheers, Az'

tmdgm
Cool. Thanks TekaTeka. Those are very helpful. The russian one isn't too hard to figure, but would've never figured the US one out. Although, I couldn't find those specific drawings on your site. Also, so there's no way to know when the R-77 goes active? Or do you just guess? GGTharos
You guess. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

Although, I couldn't find those specific drawings on your site. You are welcome. The trainings section holds many drawings. Also, so there's no way to know when the R-77 goes active? Or do you just guess? You have a stopwatch in Russian cockpit clock. If you have known data to figure out how long it will take to active, you can use it to help yourself. 'Alt-C' key to start, stop and reset the stopwatch. TekaTeka from Japan [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Visit my site Beyond Visual Range.
golfsierra2
Also, so there's no way to know when the R-77 goes active? Or do you just guess? AFAIK there is no countdown timer or else for the Russian aircraft. There is a countdown for the range until you get the Launch Auth, but it won't tell you when the R-77 itself goes active. Good guess - and what can be seen in the TacView-replays, is a range about 10 km and below to the enemy aircraft, where you can see the R-77 changing course and heading towards the impact point. kind regards, Raven....
