coops9596 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Evening, Ive just downloaded the F18 module and starting the training mission however i cant toggle any switches (using VR or mouse) i have mapped buttons to how i want setup but when i press those buttons the sim hangs and does nothing. has anyone experienced this before and have a fix. is it a vr issue? im using the rift s if that makes any difference. hopefully someone can help me as i was really looking forward to flying this jet. cheers jase
Eaglewings Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 You could try playing without VR and isolated if the problem is vr related or something, else. Windows 10 Pro 64bit|Ryzen 5600 @3.8Ghz|EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra|Corair vengence 32G DDR4 @3200mhz|MSI B550|Thrustmaster Flightstick| Virpil CM3 Throttle| Thrustmaster TFRP Rudder Pedal /Samsung Odyssey Plus Headset
coops9596 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 its just with the vr, works fine in the monitor
toutenglisse Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Maybe all VR options are not fully setted up ? In DCS VR menu, you have to tick "use mouse" and "limit cursor to game window" (maybe it's other words but you should find it) - if not you may click outside of mirror window and "focus" switch to desktop, causing DCS to hang on. In this VR menu you also can enable touch controllers I think if you want.
coops9596 Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 all sorted now guys, thanks for your help
bnyhwkr Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 has anyone ever encountered the cougars used with exports in the f-18 are 90 degrees off clockwise
donkeyrider Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 has anyone ever encountered the cougars used with exports in the f-18 are 90 degrees off clockwise This is probably caused by the different numbering conventions between USAF and USN. My memory is faded here but Button 1 in USN is bottom left while I thin for USAF it's top left. DCS follows the naming convention for each respective service. So if you allocate the same button 1 in the Cougar for both Hornet / Warthog it will appear 90 degrees different. I hope this helps.
