C-17 Skin Default Name?

With the debut of the F-16 and the C-17's flying around in the Instant Missions of it, I was wanting to tidy of the Globemaster skin a bit, but not sure what name to save the .dds file.

 

How do I find out the default file name for an AI plane?

Steve these are from the C-17a EDM file they should help

I believe looking at the extracted EDM info I posted above, I would say that the file you are looking for is in fact a .tga file , its name is "USAF" from this line above : {"texture USAF.tga f2 g0", 0, "USAF", false};

 

 

I might be wrong, but this is a very old model and somebody may correct me.

Many thanks, I can open all of those and see what I need, now that I know where to look. :)

 

Edit - Do you know the location where these files are as well? No idea where DCS keeps the AI files at.

No probs Steve, good luck, that skin really does need an overhaul, which I suspect ED has on their long list of many things to do. As to where they are located you will probably find them in one of the many zip files that are at Bazar /Textures. Hope that helps.

After seeing that C-17 in the F-16 release more and more, it's become the new S-3, really in need of an update. I just want to make something a bit easier to look at for the default one.
