IFF on the Viper

Recommended Posts

Later, we will add more functions to the IFF system like other modes, time of day settings, and more

TOD settings...so now we have to remember our new day modes and codes swap at UTC switch over as well?.....that will end badly lol. Nice.

We had a crew of 15 and hopefully someone remember to call it on ICS so we swapped to new-day codes and didn't get shot down.

But more importantly...stores jettison is now working! wohoo.

You should fly it again :)

Pic as of latest Chuck's guide.

Without a donor there are still only diamonds and squares, so his point still stands for that ;).

In the early IFF F18 days in DCS I had the same issues with the HUD symboligy. But now with the possibility of donors, interrogation, "colored" radar & SA pages it does helps a lot.

Beste regards,

Stefan, HereThen

For IFF response circles must be a "little" right from the bogey in order to view bogey data not on the bogey

Don't worry - in VR it will just be all one big blob anyway lol. :helpsmilie:

Funny

But true. Either TMS left and glance at the STT on the MFD or visually identify him.

yeah i know. if you pick up a Bogey in the Hornet in the acm modes. you can hit the IFF button to be Sure.

I was wondering if this is working in the F16

The ACM modes simply put him into STT, too, so then it works like the "regular" IFF interrogation in the Viper as in: look at IFF responses on the FCR page
