LabRat
Nubie here. I was running through the training mission for the A-10 and Maverick use and there is one thing I do not understand. The training said you know you have lock when the cross flashes and then he says I have lock and the fires. I never see the cross flash. The cross I am talking about is on the TV screen from what I gather since that is where the focus is set when he fires. Is there something i am missing. Thanks
S77th-konkussion
Are you saying that you have a thermal contact on the screen and the crosshairs are on it- but no flashing? You may be out of range. You can see contacts ahead of the effective weapon range. Aeroscout
first you ground stabilize the cross hairs (Tab) then slew them onto the target. They will the auto lock, signaled by a slight shift in the display (as it "jumps" to the target and the small cross will flash. (LA) fire when ready Could I make you a track? S77th-konkussion
There is no "LA" in the Hawg. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]

Thanks If you are watching the training using V1.12, then that particular tutorial does not play back correctly. You can see the cross flashing during ingress when the instructor demonstrates on a building but, after that, nothing is as it should be. If you want to view the tutorial, watch it as a video. TekaTeka did a wonderful job transferring the stock tutorials to video. You can download them here: TekaTeka's LOMAC/FC Stock Training Videos. LabRat
Thanks for all your replies. I remember maping a key to lock target and now I can use the mouse feature on my X52 to put the crosshair on my target and then lock it. Boom dead armor. Woo Hoo. If I may ask another OT question. I took a gander at HL last night and saw only about 50 online players. Is that about the average amount of palyers at one time? What about squads? Do the squads reley on coops mostly?
