mytai01
The escort mission should allow them to escort Land and Naval vehicles. I've tried to get a helicopter to fly formation with the CVN since that's what they really do in case a pilot fails to land or depart properly...But, even if the helicopter is set to the same course and speed it doesn't stay put...it goes off ahead or behind the CVN... Tholozor
What I do is set the helicopter in its 'escort position' and make its end waypoint the same direction and distance as the direction and distance from the carrier at the start, then I use the arrival time of the ending waypoint to control the speed of the helicopter so that the carrier and the helicopter arrive at the same time in the same formation. Captain Orso
I've done that. After about 10 minutes one lags behind the other. It's not a solution. We can hope that ED implements safety helicopters and CAP following a task force etc when they get their Nimitz module done. When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs.
