Xoho
Even a basic mission planner such as that available in singleplayer would be a massive benefit to all aircraft, especially FC3 aircraft in multiplayer servers that currently have no way of setting their own waypoints. Requested Features for MP Mission Planner: Basic Functions: 1.) Ability to create, name, adjust, and remove waypoints prior to spawning in the slot/startup/takeoff. 2.) Ability to change initial loadout based off airfield supplies. If the supply availability changes before spawning, a message telling you what is unavailable and the option to continue without it or go back and select an available loadout. 3.) Ability to change preset frequencies. Nice to have but not absolutely necessary: 1.) Ability to share flight plans between clients in the mission planner. Perhaps as a drop down list with a "show shared flight plans" and a list to select plans from each player. 2.) Ability to "reset to default" for the loadout, as well as flight plan. (I.e. reset to the preset mission waypoints and/or loadouts) 3.) Ability to change special mission editor options (and for the mission maker to be able to lock them from being adjusted), such as whether or not to include a backseater/instructor in aircraft such as the L-39 or C-101. Or to adjust which waypoint is set as bullseye in an aircraft such as the Harrier or Mirage. Or to adjust ripple/release settings in aircraft such as the Hornet or F-5E. Chaders
I’d just really like the ability to create waypoints and routes in the F10 map on MP servers to make mission planning a bit swifter. At the minute I need to write down the waypoints in a list and manually input them into the aircraft which is time consuming. Best Regards, Chaders. randomTOTEN
Just imagine it, This screen is available in Multiplayer. No need for using marks on the F10 map. No need for key combinations and a kneeboard page dedicated to aircraft settings. You just drop down your route, or modify your route, set target points, and choose your weapons, fuel, release settings, and DTC settings all in one place... hit the fly button and begin the startup. :pilotfly:
QuiGon
It's planned: The Mission Card allows you to set up software options for all missions that includes such items as radar settings, countermeasures, AG weapon programs, and navigation settings. The third element of mission configuration MUST apply directly to the specific mission file or there will conflict between Aircraft Settings and the mission file… these are the waypoint settings. As always, a mission is created with a set of waypoints and properties when the mission is created by the mission designer. For the Hornet though, we are greatly adapting this to account for a much more realistic Hornet waypoint system that accounts for up to 60 waypoints in the database, of which waypoints can be assigned properties of sequence 1, sequence 2, sequence 3, initial point, A/A waypoint, Pre-Planned (PP), or Pre-Briefed (PB). In the Mission Planner, the player would be able to then adjust these if desired on a per-mission basis. We are also looking to making the Mission Planner available in multiplayer. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
