CallsignPunch
Anyone think it’d be cool to have a MH-6/AH-6 Module and a Black Hawk Down Campaign for it? Gruman
Would be a instant purchase. For sure. Love those littlebirds and flown them a lot in Arma 3. But I think it's highly unlikely. And since the AH, MH variants are only used by 160th SOAR, the available informations are not accurate anyway to meet the ED requirements. A mod might be more reasonable. There are a lot of models for those available (Example: ARMA 3 -> MELB Mod). Not sure how well rotary aircrafts can be implemented as mods. :music_whistling: Intel I9 10900k @5.1GHz | MSI MEG Z490 Unify | Corsair Vengeance 64GB - 3600MHz | EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 VPC T-50 Base /w Viper & Hornet Grip | VPC Rotor TCS Pro w/ Hawk-60 Grip | TM TPR LG C2 42" | Reverb G2 | TIR 5 | PointCtrl | OpenKneeboard
CallsignPunch
I don’t know about that, it’s basically a Civillian MD-500D with an upgraded engine, 7 shot rocket pods and 2 miniguns, and the FLIR camera.....I don’t see anything on it that would really be hard to get info on.... Could be wrong but it’s a fairly basic aircraft, it what the SOAR guys do with it that makes it so wicked awesome. i9-9900k, Asus ROG Strix Z390-3, 32GB DDR4-3000, MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 2TB Samsung 860 Evo SSD| Reverb G2| Custom Simpit- A variety of grips (TM/Virpil) on floor mounted TM Base, WinWing Super Tauris Throttles, Virpil Collective, TM Pedals, TM MFDs Paid Module Wishlist: AH-64A, T-38, B-1B, U-2, MH-60 Pavehawk, A-10A Map Wishlist: NAS Oceana (w/Norfolk and Expansive Ocean), Korea (Modern), Cuba, Columbia Ai Wishlist: Ships, SOF infantry, SOF Vehicles, AH/MH-6, P8,
ams999
Depends whether this still applies and I'm afraid it does: Developer confirms Littlebird AH-6/MH-6 will never come to DCS due to classification. "[...] because, basically, in this day and age, if you get to the merge and no one's died - it's not good for anybody." - Keith 'Okie' Nance "Nun siegt mal schön!" - Theodor Heuss, September 1958 "Nobody has any intention of building a wall." - Walter Ulbricht, June 1961 "Russia has no plans to invade either Ukraine or any other country." - Vladimir Chizhov, Russia's ambassador to the EU, January 2022
CallsignPunch
Yeah hadn’t seen that......that blows. It makes sense that they won’t release the manuals but everyone knows what it is......a 500 that some cigar smoking bada** pilot was like “you know what we should do....throw some rockets and machine guns on that MFer” :megalol: i9-9900k, Asus ROG Strix Z390-3, 32GB DDR4-3000, MSI GeForce RTX 2080 Ti, 2TB Samsung 860 Evo SSD| Reverb G2| Custom Simpit- A variety of grips (TM/Virpil) on floor mounted TM Base, WinWing Super Tauris Throttles, Virpil Collective, TM Pedals, TM MFDs Paid Module Wishlist: AH-64A, T-38, B-1B, U-2, MH-60 Pavehawk, A-10A Map Wishlist: NAS Oceana (w/Norfolk and Expansive Ocean), Korea (Modern), Cuba, Columbia Ai Wishlist: Ships, SOF infantry, SOF Vehicles, AH/MH-6, P8,

I think the current version should be the A/MH-6M (Could be outdated already. Stopped reading about them). New airframe, new engine, 6-bladed main rotor, 4-bladed tail rotor, glass cockpit, head mounted cueing system, new FLIR Pod, new defence system, M-134, Gau-19, 7rd & 19rd Rocket Pods. All of those systems would need proper simulations to be fit deemed doable by ED or 3rd party devs. And those documents would need to be official declassified or provided by the airframe manufacturer. But mostly its secure encrypted communications, EW/ECM sensors and countermeasures, navigation, sensors, and powerplant survivability mods. THose mods are invisible to sim pilots. A hi fidelity sim of civilian MD500, with modifications to performance , IMHO, would be sufficient Anything classified could be handled internally by DCS systems as black box. Take SINGGARS encrypted secure radio. Limit user to ON/OFF/STBY and COMMSEC codes. Even in RL, end user soldiers are rarely trained as to internal mechanics, and are prohibited from tampering with LRU components. Some Signal Corps soldiers are trained on classified operations and maintenance. But it is not necessary for end user shooter to know the system, but they do need to know how to use it. So in DCS, SINGGARS simulation would be effectively handled by limiting user interaction. Engine and rotor quieting system would be effectively handled with same approach. User turns system ON/OFF/STBY, and DCS just reduces noise produced within sim. There is no need to actually simulate the system, with exception of reduced power. Point being is that classified systems can be simmed without running afoul of classified information handling laws.
Stratos
That would be an amazing helicopter to have in DCS, specially If we can insert special ops troops, and then support them. I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
