DCS - Nhawk's Weapons mod

Recommended Posts

It has a Paveway III guidance system attached rather than a Paveway II of the GBU-10/12/16 series. Rather than make on/off steering adjustments, it is able to make gradual/partial steering adjustments allowing for better trajectories, longer flights, and more accuracy.

It appears installing it into the Saved Games\DCS\Mods folder fixes the missing vehicles. But it also seems that the mod no longer works that way and missiles are back to their usual disappointing performance. Installing it into the DCS root folder via JSGME seems to work, but also causes certain ground vehicles to disappear.

Hmm i'm not getting this issue which is quite odd, let me just push in some changes I've been working on and get a clean version out there and see if that fixes it:

Could you guys try fully deleting the old mod and downloading it again to see if that works.

I deleted the old mod and installed the new one. And I've been playing Liberation for a couple of hours without any problem. There were no lack of ground units to destroy, that's for sure.

Ok good not sure what was causing that issue then, i'll update the main post.

Make sure to fully remove all of the old mod files before installing the updated mod!

Yup it works for me now as well. However, it seems that the DLZ for the SD-10 has been broken? No longer getting max range and in range cues in the JF-17.

Ah! I thought I was missing something vital, you're right.

Try dropping this (CoreMods folder inside the zipfile) into your main mod folders should in theory fix it. I'll update the main post as well.

Just FYI, I ran into this issue when I changed the warhead of AIM-120 and 120C's to directional_a2a_warhead.

Currently having issues with PAC-2s. It seems like the MIM-104s are teleporting themselves into space a few moments after launch (see attached track; they disappear after launch or teleport themselves into space). Seems like launch will crash the game as well if you're in a player aircraft. Uninstalling the mod seems to fix all these issues with the PAC-2s.

Yup.  I experienced the same abnormal Patriot missile behavior.  What I ended up doing was altering the LUA file (Missile Data LUA) that deals with pN, loft kinematics, CCM... etc.

I spent a lot of time play-testing and googling Russian-to-English translation to understand the meaning for those codes.

Lately, I have been messing around with the numbers and guess-timating.  In the end, I turned the AA-12 into something ungodly (something like mach 6 at 30k for a 15nm shot from a 700kts MiG-29S).

I will take a look which part of it I "fixed" to make it work.  Disclaimer though, I am so waiting for an update from Nighthawk because his mod is pretty awesome.

Well, that's all for now.

Has been fixed updated the mod accordingly i'll be tuning its performance soon as i'm slowly working my way through the cfd for the missile.  But for now it should still be quite effective and won't go into warp speed crashing the game.

Oh yeah. It seems that with the mod, SAMs are no longer engaging and shooting down HARMs? Think this is the only issue left; everything else is just perfect at the moment. Many thanks once again for all the effort you've put into this mod!
