[FIXING] Landing gear struts not reacting to weight (not enough compressed)

I just realized that landing gear struts don't seem to compress enough in both empty and heavily loaded aircraft states (especially the main gear), at least according to many pictures of the real plane, it looks like the suspension reamains always in the position it would be when in the air, free of weight.

It is also noticeable because the center line external fuel tank doesn't seem to be as close to the ground as it looks in real life pics, which is surprisingly low, almost touching the deck.

The nose wheel hinge also shows a very relaxed state instead of a more flexed one.

A few examples:

Although I can see a really really small compression when adding weight, it is barely noticeable and at the same time, the suspension looks surprisingly the same as real life pics without any weight on wheels so I think it could be a bug or maybe just a work in progress:

On the ground:

In the air:

it looks pretty much the same, which match almost perfectly the how the gear looks in real life without weight:

Hope it helps in case it is not a WiP thing.

Funny how the FOV from DCS makes the jet a bit tiny compared with the RL images. But yeah, I also recall watching the documentry on TV where they were talking about how JF-17 stands quite low to the ground.

Hopefully in the next hotfix.

Can you also please review the dampening effect? Now that you have tweaked the low flight behaviour, the jet needs to be somewhat fast on touchdowns. Currently upon landings, the jet bounces a lot, instead of the gears dampening the force of impact and preventing the bounce.

Something like shown here:

With a now fully working ground effect, your touchdown speed should be lower. And yes the dampening effect has been taken into consideration.

Thank you for your answer. I suppose, it is just the case for relearning landing method with the new updates.

You guys are doing great work so far. Really enjoying the jet.

The ground effect in this plane is probably the best I have experienced so far in DCS, it is subtle yet it's there very clearly and convincing...it really pushes you slightly off the ground, amazing!

About the dampening, I don't know but this jet seems to have a quite stiff suspension and I think the dampening is kind of like an f-16 according to videos, just the struts need to compress much more with the weight...maybe with more weight it would change but empty, the bounce, is pretty much spot on (7:25):

thanks!!

Because you answered my question in a way, it sounds like you know more than I know.

Oh, no I am not, sorry. It was more of an educated guess, as they already commented "FIXING" on the bug thread but it didn't make it into the first patch.
