Release candidate testing sprints in most software companies are 2 weeks. So even if it was early access feature complete, it’s at least 2 weeks out. Assuming they don’t find bugs and need another dev sprint.

I find it hard to believe that DCS would release a Great Preview Video unless they meant to release The Carrier Relatively Soon

My guess is they hit a unexpected snag while in late beta testing and decided to fix some issues to make it as bug free as possible to silence some of the more vocal critics(Reddit) to avoid a backlash like they got on The Viper EA.

One would hope a properly set up mission with Fleet defenses should prevent sinking of the Super carrier.

I really hope the overall Naval state of the sim is improved soon. There are bunch of issues with damage model, and whatever "AI" there is, isn't that good. Even a simple station keeping/formations type AI while steaming along would be a good improvement and then adding ship based countermeasures and evasive maneuvers for ships would be great. Right now they just pretty much sit there, and most of the online servers I've seen just use them as static sam sites (thats not on ED tho).

Yeah, the F16 was way to early.

Assuming they're using Scrum...and use it like most companies. I'm not entirely convinced any of that has been translated into Russian, let alone implemented.

Though I did see a cricket game in St. Petersburg at the Tavricheskiy Sad, so maybe Rugby is also gaining in popularity. Rugby and Australian (ie none) rules football seem like the kind of games they'd play there... :joystick:

Yeah, thats not a bad guess. And good for them if they do. I do think the Viper got pushed out the door too early. And I'd hate for the carrier module to be the same.
