Yes, I’ve been here since the Flanker....I really had to wait a long time for the F/A-18. Now I’m waiting for the release of the Super Carrier.... once this is released this will really be a revelation of Marine Corps carrier duty in the Persian Gulf...

This has taking years to accomplish but will be outstanding....

We have come a long way from the old Flanker days...

My intro to what would become DCS was Su-27 Squadron Commanders Edition in late '96 / early '97. Great game for the time. Still have the CD & manual floating around somewhere.

It's amazing to see how far 'the game' has come since then. Very much looking forwards to future developments!

System Spec: Cooler Master Cosmos C700P Black Edition case. | AMD 5950X CPU | MSI RTX-3090 GPU | 32GB HyperX Predator PC4000 RAM | | TM Warthog stick & throttle | TrackIR 5 | Samsung 980 Pro NVMe 4 SSD 1TB (boot) | Samsung 870 QVO SSD 4TB (games) | Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

Personal wish list: DCS: Su-27SM & DCS: Avro Vulcan.

I still remember how happy I was with Flanker (1)...

In terms of flying and systems, it was a huge upgrade from Falcon 3.0.

But the dynamic campaigns and "game play" value of Falcon 3.0 remains unmatched, in my opinion. It was not perfect, but pretty close!

Modules: Bf 109, C-101, CE-II, F-5, Gazelle, Huey, Ka-50, Mi-8, MiG-15, MiG-19, MiG-21, Albatros, Viggen, Mirage 2000, Hornet, Yak-52, FC3

Been around since the Flanker DOS days, but always SP. I remember those DOS days well...I didn't care the graphics were not much more than colored in wire frames, the accuracy of the instruments, flight model and the mission recorder blew me away. Then I moved onto Lock On, Flaming Cliffs, FC3 and now DCS. Good times

Alienware Area-51M: i7-9700K, 165Hz 27" ASUS Swift PG279 IPS with G-SYNC, 32GB DDR4 Ram, 1TB M.2 PCie x4 SSD, 1TB SSHD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6, Windows 10, CH Eclipse...

Hi I started military flight sims with SU-27 Flanker. This game was the reason why I installed Windows 95 :-)

I remember the old dos game "EF2000". In this game there was the best dynamic campain in a flight sim I ever saw.

I found that you can download the manual here:

http://www.starehry.eu/download/simulation/docs/EF2000-SE-Manual.pdf

and on page 257, it descripes how the dynamic campain worked. This was awesome for that days! (1995)

i share on the vr facebook group the other day a photo of my vr setup in 2008 flying lomac with a vuzix vr920. it was expensive and very simple compared to the vr of today but it allows me to appreciate even a oculus dk1 and how far hardware and software have come.

the best thing for me is that my best friends live in greece and i live in western australia. we talk every day and have done for 13 or so years thanks to lomac bringing us together.

i also remember in lomac due to the air tanker bug only the host would see the boom lower so we would have to relay to each other where the boom was in relaction to the aircraft lol we have come so far.

I´m here since LOMAC, but had flown the Flanker 2.0 before already. When LOMAC was released I had a crabby PC that could not run it which caused me upgrading my PC the very first time essentially. It´s been a great experience back in that time considering that I´m flying Simulators since the good old Commodore C-64 days. I joined a MP Group quite quickly and since then flew MP only. The Huey UN Pilot Campaign is the first one I ever touched actually

I´m flying Simulators since the good old Commodore C-64 days.

Same here, switched to PC and then flew F-22 ADF + TAW, Falcon 4, LOMAC up until latest DCS version (and some WW1 + WW2 + civil sims in between).

Flew for and with the 666th Black Brigade since 1998 but this squad went belly up a few months ago (after a looooong struggle) although there are still some web-traces to be found here and there...

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

214th Annihilators Squad from the 214th.com Group of Squads.

Long ago... oh yeah

Seems dead also ( http://www.214th.com/ ), last action on the TWF forum seems to be from 2007. The squad i went to (666th Black Brigade) was formed by 2 guys signing up for 214th but never even got a responce. After 2 months of waiting they started their own squad.

666th Black Brigade founders:

- Greg "Maddog" McEwan-Marriott: Worked on a Angolan/South-African theatre mod for Falcon 4 under the Combat360 name. Think it never got past alpha/beta stage.

- Aeyes: http://www.cockpits.nl (for his famous Falcon 4 cockpits back in the day...): Team: http://www.cockpits.net/website/teamwork.html
