I really hope that the hornet discount will not be exclusive of the pre-order discount, say 20% discount if you own the hornet and a further 30% if pre-purchase it too. That would almost guarantee that the whole hornet userbase will purchase Supercarrier :)

Thanks a lot, ED, for wish granted .. the DCS on pre-order had 30% discount, but if you also own the Hornet, the discount increased to 50% :D

... then I further applied 9550 miles that I had on my account and my total Supercarrier cost dropped to US$ 15.29 ... thanks again, ED :)

A very valid summary of the DCS forum in general these days. ;)

And yes, Supercarrier is very reasonably priced by ED. I was prepared to happily pay a lot more.

AI won't be following any of the procedures unfortunately though, so you'll be alone in the stack.

Well the AI is already doing some sort of Case I approach, they just don't report anything.

To be fair, Steam owners have ALWAYS had to wait longer than those who buy direct from store or for the discounts. It’s the same for every single module and always have been, so how on earth is it a surprise that you have to wait for the discount to become live.

IF you want all the discounts, the modules etc as early as possible, then it’s just common sense to only use the Beta version and purchase direct from the DCS store.

Very reasonable price for the carrier. $18US for me or $24CDN. No reason to complain about that.

Thanks ED!!

They shouldn't continue to sell the product on Steam if they can't come to some sort of resolution with pricing on Steam. This isn't a new, steam has been around since the early 2000s, its a thing ya know.

Also, they need to be upfront beforehand instead of just dropping a one sentence statement on announce day.

I agree it shouldn’t be sold on steam, as it causes more issues than it’s worth. Yes Steam is a thing, hell I have a good 80+ games on it myself, but everytime a module comes out, everytime there’s a sale, everytime a module is released its the same old story, where those backers like yourself who use DCS on Steam get left behind and to be fair rightly annoyed.

But since it happens everytime can anyone honestly state they are surprised now when it happens.

Personally I would recommend everyone to only use the standalone version and purchase direct from the store to avoid this, but people want choice and sadly this is the drawback.

I’m sure ED will sort out what’s going on with Steam eventually, I mean they usually do, but it just takes a few days

Did they include a discount for Hornet owners as promised? if so how do you get that added.

I think it calculates when you select to buy. The discount I was given as a hornet owner was 50%.

Thanks! What about us folks who bought the hornet on steam, immediately regretted it, and moved everything over to standalone? Do we just pre purchase super carrier on steam too?
