I had the same. Bonus points can only be used on products released prior to August 1, 2019. Straight from ED’s website, which I didn’t discover right away either. And they will expire, so make sure to use them up before that expiration date.

But it could be used only on products what was not part of any sale already and I had bad luck with that because by the time I wanted to buy anything new not on discount it was always expired. :D

My other question . Could anyone please tell me how long this preorder discount will last . Will it last until the early access module is released?

Has this been stated if the 50% discount for FA18 owners will apply or not after the pre-purchase ends (for example for whole early access duration)?

 

This is currently for the Pre-Purchase period only. The Early Access discount was announced as 20% only, and not sure if the Hornet discount will continue through that.

Easy way to test that, is to "purchase" a module like the Huey (or any other that is currently being offered on discount) and see if you can apply the bonus points ($) to it during the checkout process. But you don't have to "actually purchase it" to see if it will apply.

 

 

EDIT: Just tried to use my "bonus points" towards the Huey, but won't allow it, most likely because it is currently being offered "on sale." So seems the answer to your question is no.

I will wait and purchase once the F-18 and SC have left EA and are in a mostly bugfree state. I have 2 3rd party modules in my hangar with 3+ years of EA status and right now i kinda not feel like adding more to that list. There is something to be said to know that the manual or Chuck's guide is complete and you don't need to spent time figuring out what is missing, wrongly implemented or bugged.

 

 

 

But the overall package of navy aircraft and carrier looks great so the day will come!

I've enjoyed EVERY aircraft of DCS that I've purchased, some more than others, but everyone has given me joy to learn to fly it ... yes, even the F-16 and also the Hawk, that I purchased on December 2014.

 

Regarding Supercarrier, I could have waited until after it's release, so as to be absolutely certain of its capabilities ... but when I considered the final price after the 30% pre-purchase discount, plus the 20% for having the F-18, plus US$ 9.5 that I had on miles .. was the US$ 15.29 expense so high to justify the wait? ... I closed my eyes and choose not to worry so much for 15 bucks.

 

Well please read this comment. People can use Miles Why can't use bonus points. IMO it is unjust. I would like answers from officials

I have also bonus points left.

 

The bonus points can be used only on full price modules what are not part of any sale and It can't be used on new products.

 

This infortmation has been in the bonus program FAQ for years so I am not surprised. Beside the value($) of the bonus points have been 20% of our purchase while miles are only 10%. So if there would be any chance to convert bonus points to miles it would be like 2 to 1.

 

Just buy the F16/F14/Mig21bis and use your bonus points if you don't have them already. I think these are the things you can't get on discount for a while. You will get miles from the purchase (10% value) what you can use on the supercarrier.

 

This is the only option .

Why miles can be used, miles are achieved through purchasing products same as bonus. They are ending bonus system and new system will be miles but it should be same until bonus expires. SC is on discount why people with miles can use miles and people with bonus cant.

 

 

I purchased f18 on pre order which was $60 USD. And now they have bundled supercarrier, f 18 and su-33 for just 64 USD. How eagle dynamic treating their customer is beyond my thinking. I never preorder again if they continue practices like this

 

 

I will boycott until they fix this unjust move.

The super carrier will not be on steam for pre-order, it will be on steam for Early access we will know more about any discount when that happens.

They are not the same thing with different names. They were earned differently, they had different rules, which were clearly stated when they were set up, if ED Miles had never come along, you still wouldn't be able to use the old Bonus points for the carrier.

You know if you own the F/A18 you get 50% off the supercarrier, right? I mean, I was going to buy it but then I figured in 20 years time it would come free with DCS Universe 4.5, so I think I'll wait.
