Kenpilot Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Hey guy,s finally starting to build my A-10 Simpit and I'm having a hard time finding an inexpensive On-On-(On) switch for the Inverter Stby switch. I've seen several for around $30-$40 but i don't want to spend that much on a switch. If there aren't any inexpensive ones, is there a way to use an On-Off-(On) switch for it? longuich Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 I’m presuming this is really a programming question. You need to check a pins for a change from high to low or the other way around. If 1 is on, 2 and 3 are not. If 2 is on, 1 and 3 are not. If 3 is on, 1 and 2 are not. That way you can always cut one pin from a on-off situation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

crash test pilot Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 If you take a closer look into the control reference, you will see that the switch3pos just asks you for two pins. So DCS-BIOS takes care for the programming hassle; you can use a on-off-(on) switch. If the switch is neither up nor down it is in the middle position. Thanks to Ian!

Baldrick33 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 I may be over simplifying this but I use Joy2key to enable three position switches by using the keyboard mapping function and setting a key for press and another for release. So switch up=A, release=B (middle position) Switch down=C, release=B so whenever it is in the middle position it reports B.
