1080 ti userbenchmark

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just run userbench with my 1080ti (which I bought one month ago).

"Performing above expectations (75th percentile)"

Often these cards have been used for mining and needs thermal paste replacement. Check your GPU's temperature.

Temp is around 80, max 84 C. Can that lower the poerformance? I can't get much more than 60 fps on HIGH settings + 1.5 SSAA, with drops to 30 fps and even less. Doesn't seem right. Also i have 16GB ram and i5 9660k. What do you think is the bottleneck?

What is your model? 84C is the max, if I remember correctly. Your GPU definitely throttling. Try to replace the thermal paste with good brand. When I replaced mine, the GPU's temperature dropped by 10C.

80-84°C is your problem as said above.

I concur with repasting. Best to use Thermal Grizzly Kyronaut imho. That is what I and a few other enthusiasts in here use.

I've bought additional 16gb of ram and there is a difference, but not much. Overall it made the game smoother (up to 60 fps on heavy mission), but i definitely need repastiong and also i will invest in twin turbo accelero. The old one is loud as an afterburner. Will let you know what happened.

Did you bench with vsync enabled in NVCP? that can cause lower score.

Yeah, that will limit your achievable score. Never employ limiters when you benchmark, LET IT FLY !

It's loud, because your card is getting very hot. Replace the thermal paste and run the benchmark with the case open before deciding to replace the cooler.

Yp, I did, but the new TMI made it 1 degree C worse. I think i just bought a cheap paste. I still intend to buy a new cooling, thats 100% needed (the quiet is very important to me).

What worries me more is that a friend with similar setup (only i7 instead of i5 and much faster ram and better mobo) has ~25-30 fps more than me. Thats a HUGE F%$#% difference. I'm not sure, maybe it's because of my cheap motherboard?

This is my bench:

bartoshka,

very easy, read your benchmark analysis again, maybe you see it yourself !!!

ALL of your drives are FILLED, the Kingston SSD has 1GB free, the others are also very very low.

Free up space so you have about 20% free space per drive.

That cripples your whole system, OS and any app to the point of halting and crashing.

easy fix mate, still, your GPU gets FAR too hot.

Here's mine to compare: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/24289572
