steelrfan85 Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 How do I input coordinates in the hornet when JTAC tells me in MGRS?
Darcwaynard Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 The mod is the only way until they implement MGRS in the Hornet. randomTOTEN Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 MGRS input is still WIP. We are still waiting on a big Navigation/INS update for the Hornet
WOPR Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Or you can use an available tool to convert MGRS to Lat/long. Just make sure you know the difference between DMS and DM, and precise entry mode on the Hornet. https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/NCAT/
b101uk Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 cycle the F10 map to MGRS and place a marker at the specific MGRS, then cycle to coordinates of the F10 map again to the input type that is accepted and place the curser over the marker thus allowing you to see a usable coordinate type which you then write down on something called paper
steelrfan85 Posted February 7, 2020 Author Posted February 7, 2020 I get an idea from the grid in f10 but it’s not over a target. I’ve installed the mod but it isn’t working. The f10 map gives me an idea where target is. There were 3.
steelrfan85 Posted February 7, 2020 Author Posted February 7, 2020 The MAV seeker would pick up the laser when I uncage if I was heading towards the target but with a GBU that wouldn’t work would need the TPOD I’d think.
