OB 2.5.6: Mouse stuck to right half of the screen

Recommended Posts

In Open Beta 2.5.6. and going full screen (ALT - ENTER) after loading, the mouse is stuck to the right half of the screen, unable to move it to the left half of the screen.

If the option "Cursor Confined to Game Window" is un-ticked, the mouse is able to move across the entire screen with the drawback the you can move the mouse out of the active screen and losing controls..

This behaviour is different compared to 2.5.5 where when switched to full screen, the mouse moved across the entire screen.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Same issue here.

I am currently in process of backing everything up and reverting back to 2.5.5 until they get the bugs worked out.

Most MP servers are still on 2.5.5 anyway.

had this problem. pressing alt enter again twice fixed it.

you don't need to restart.

just exit and re enter full screen.

okay. when you alt enter, move the mouse to the left side before alt entering back to full screen.

so the mouse starts on the side it wont go too.

that has worked three times in a row for me.

It's a work around but then it wasn't needed before on 2.5.5. so i consider this a (newly intoduced) bug.

(For the record, i'm using 2.5.5 stable again to play. To much issues right now with 2.5.6.)

I don't see the need to have a full screen mirror when in VR, I actually prefer 2.5.6 keeping the mouse locked/confined to game smaller screen window and not moving outside causing problems.

I have the same problem too. MuLtiple ALT+enter does not solve it.

When I have full screen mirror, I have a really higher framerate on my oculus CV1 and it prevent clicking out of the DCS windows and losing focus on the game (happen all the time).

The mouse has never been really confined in the DCS windows and can always get out, if you click at this exact time, you loose focus on it and all input does not work anymore ingame.

Do you have 'confine mouse'...in VR option checked?

Not experiencing this issue on my side. I have "mouse cursor confined to window" selected, in the options menu. I personally drag the windows start bar to the left or right side of the monitor screen before starting DCS, so I can prevent having any conflict with "the outside world." I have Lalt+Enter before, to get full screen on the monitor, but never have done that again after learning to simply relocate the start bar. latest version of 2.5.6, Oculus CV1.

Cheers,

I suffered from that stucking mouse bug on 2.5.6. Then I reverted back to 2.5.5 for VR performances reasons and can confirm that mouse is working fine on 2.5.5...

Mirror screen is not full screen and there's no need to alt-tab at all to get it right...

So defintly a 2.5.6 bug....

FYI Oculus rift S here

I stopped running OB, overall way to buggy and performance drain since 2.5.6

Appears to be back with the 6/18/2020 update again...

Switching between full screen and back and forth several times does not correct the issue.

Cmon ED! This has been an issue for a while and kills the VR.

I have this issue as well. I've gone back and forth with multiple Alt+Enters and it doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I've also had the window not even go full screen on Alt+Enter... but go to a bottom right corner running what looks to be 1920x1080 on my 4K screen...

I'll bet it's locking the mouse to a ratio of THAT screen...

Would someone take a look at their regular screen and see if the same is happening? If so... Change the "Screen resolution" to 4K in the setting and see if Alt+enter then makes it actually fulls screen? I'd do it myself but I'm at work...
