Looks promising.

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Looks like something out of FSX, least the cockpit view..

And neither of them provide a freakin contact email....

If you think that, probably you haven't seen any in-game video footage in his webpage ("Gallery" section)

The email of the Korean F-18 developer is: ejectionseat@hotmail.com

I think his project is more promising as it focuses on the real F-18 FCS, and not just a nice 3d cockpit. This is about flight dynamics, the way it should be, not like that MS Acceleration crap without a flight control system or realistic simulation of any flight regime.

Well, as for me, and the *full* F/A 18 experience I'll continue to fly the only one (so far) ever made. JANE'S BABY! Right Wags? ;)

Psche, Jane's was great but it's old and a lot of system aren't represented at all. So, I like F/A-18A/C more than Superhornet, I think this last is heavy, underpowered and disproportionate.

Well anyway there's an F/A-18 add on for FS2004 and will be upgraded for FSX coming over the horizon and its not a rehash of an older simulator.... This one is fresh and very close to being released... It should hit the shelves some time right after the end of the Holidays.. I know your probably thinking that its not a combat simulator but there are plans to actually simulate some combat functions .. you can get all of the latest scoop here.... http://vrsimulations.com/phpbb/index.php

I agree BS cockpit is pretty good looking - darn good looking! However, I feel FSX has wonderfully crisp cockpit. The wear and tear are done just right in the F/A-18 pit as well. Perhaps it's because lighting in FSX is far superior?

I find BS pit a bit dark and dull.

ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

Well if FSX modelled systems in any fidelity that equated to some form a credability then i don't give a rats arse what the lighting is like in the pit.

I WOULD 100% ALL THE TIME CHOOSE A CORRECTLY MODELLED AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL PIT OVER THE CRAP THAT MSFSX PRODUCES EVEN IF IT DOES HAVE PRETTY LIGHTING

Jane's F/A-18 don't have functional lateral panels for example, so you couldn't do a start up or other things. I've compared some MFD pages with VRS Superhornet screenshots and there are some pages a little different too. Yes, F/A-18 Jane's was a great sim, but he's almost 8 years old, and the realism level now is growing up.

Okay, I'll give you that. But, ya gatta admit as far as carrier operations go is there anything else out there, better?

On the other hand, I've been playing with OF and the F/A 18 C is a pretty cool ride and all the panels work in it.

MSFS can't be that bad considering they have outsold all the other titles to date, so perhaps ED should pay attention to what they have been doing right. No harms in that.

I love fidelity but I don't see a stampede of rotor heads coming to this site. In fact, it's been dreadfully slow around here. If I stop typing, I can hear crickets...yup.

I'm a big fan of ED and I want them to do real well but average joe can't see fidelity on the back of the box.

If it's a 2D panel then I'm disappointed... 2D panels have no more use in simulations other then wasting resources.

Very true even if you want to place that 2d panel on second monitor - it's useless today. 6DOF is the only future in pc flight simulations.

For ED to pay attention to what they have been doing right, they would need to come up with their own OS and then build a time machine. Use the time machine to ensure that EDos and WinEDows 95 become the dominant OS that everyone is forced to buy it.

Seriously though, MS could pay everyone in the US $100 to buy their latest $50 MSFS and still have more money than everyone else in the galaxy combined.
