speed-of-heat
In 2.5.6.in VR , when you press ALT Enter to place DCS in "Full screen" mode (not the check box in the game), the mouse is constrained in the UI and in plane, to the RHS of the screen, this was not the case in 2.5.5 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO
fitness88
I will try taking notes to post next time I have this issue, I play around and it sorts itself out. Not sure if it's the sequence at which you open DCS and Oculus and minimizing Oculus.
dburne
I had that happen one time to me. It was one time that I actually launched DCS before putting my headset on ( I normally put headset on first). I exited out and only put headset on first and has not happened again. modda
I've had the same problem in 2.5.6. A workaround I found was to press Alt+Enter 3 times (fullscreen, windowed, fullscreen). This bug seems to be fixed in the latest OB patch this week (2.5.6.45317). speed-of-heat
still have it after the OB patch from this weekend... i will try the workaround though SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO
coldViPer
Just wondering, is there any benefit to use Alt+Enter in VR? This affects only in 2D screen? speed-of-heat
yep, normally i hit a maximum frame rate of of about 60FPS (if i take off motion vector) and this equates to 45 fps with motion vector, so why would anyone do that... well because simply i can hit 90FPS in "full screen", which means i also hit 90fps with motion vector turned on ... so its a significant reduction in frametimes, that practically allows me to engage either more eye candy or complex missions... no idea why .. just works SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO
speed-of-heat
seems more likely to work when launched from the desktop than WMR, the workaround ALT-ENT three times had no impact at all SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO
samtheeagle
I've also had issues since this latest OB update. Never seen this issue before, but the last few days I've had issues with the mouse pointer being constrained to a much smaller "window area" within VR which has made it impossible to click certain interface components. ALT-Enter has thus far worked for me. I've also has issues with a message in ornage text at the tope of the menu screen along the lines of "Window is out of focus" which I've never seen before in my decade of playing DCS. So nothing stoppping me from playing, but certainly a bit annoying...
speed-of-heat
yep the out of focus is a new thing with 2.5.6. its meant to tell you which device is active the HMD or display for the mouse...ALT enter certainly lets me switch between the two modes, but its kludgey .. .nothing that stops me flying but still SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO
gorgar0
This happens to me often. What I do is to get out of full screen mode and center the cursor in the screen. Then go back to full screen mode. (Rift -S)
Paterajkov
This hasn't gone away for me either It seems to have a random factor to it. When this first showed up with the 2.5.6 update, I was able to switch out of full screen set the mouse into the lower left corner, switch back and it worked. Now I've found that doesn't work. In fact switching to full screen makes it so I cannot even hit the EXIT for the game, as the mouse won't move that far down. Worse I didn't have a mouse cursor in the flight window. This is like the old Nintendo cartridge voodoo. Start, stop, switch modes back and forth, start mission, stop mission, start mission...sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. TOViper
In 2.5.6.in VR , when you press ALT Enter to place DCS in "Full screen" mode (not the check box in the game), the mouse is constrained in the UI and in plane, to the RHS of the screen, this was not the case in 2.5.5 I have this effect too, a friend of mine also. Only way to solve this problem after entering full screen mode and having the problem, is to: 1.) first switch back to desktop mode (using ALT+ENTER) 2.) go to options and disable "Cursor confined to ...", but leave open the menu! 3.) Switch to full screen by pressing ALT+ENTER 4.) then enable the option again 5.) leave the menu Edited March 24, 2020 by TOViper Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G | NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti OC 11GB | 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TPR | Rift CV1
