Alright, G2 pre-ordered today in my local shop.

RTX 3080 up and running (waiting for EKWB to release compatible waterblock to finalize my project though).

 

Can't wait to hear your feedbacks!

What does suck here?

HP stated that preorders after Sep 24 will be delivered starting in December, so you actually could get your device pretty early if you preordered last week like stated above.

I did preorder like many back in July and still have no info of delivery date.

Well, I ordered mine on May 25th and haven't gotten a notice that mine has been shipped yet. I'm also lucky to still be alive after almost a year of chemo, radiation, and 6 surgeries, so I can wait for my G2 to show up. Its all about perspective I guess. :thumbup:

Dang I was hoping they would add an audio jack in the final version.

Can't have everything I guess - I can always get an extended audio cable earbuds and use in the sound jack in the PC if needed.

Half Life Alyx sure is looking good, I look forward to another play through with the Reverb G2.

Well, as discussed before, I think you might find the built-in audio to be very good, if it is anything like as good as the Index was when I had one.

Small update for bestware (Germany) preorders:

 

"Mit der ersten Lieferung von HP, die uns voraussichtlich nächste Woche erreicht, werden wir in der Lage sein, nur die ersten 13% unserer Vorbesteller zu beliefern - was Vorbestellungen bis 08.07. um 21:27 Uhr einschließt. Vorbestellungen nach diesem Zeitpunkt werden mit den darauf folgenden Lieferungen bedient werden können."

Dates are sliding. Last I read was all orders before July 17th would be first. Mine is July 14th.

In the store I ordered mine, they have and still stating "expecting 50+ units on the 17th", the launch won't be until 20th or something.

 

I'm still not really expecting it any time too soon, but "50+" is the largest stock quantity they operate with, so they are definitely going in on VR

It has been even longer than that. I ordered mine at the end of May, and I think that was after sitting on the fence about it for a week or two.
