I specifically purchased two Lenovo e10 and one e7 tablets for this app - work perfectly! Great digital panels for my Tomcat. Now if only we had radars/RWRs it'd be perfect!

Hey Peter, just wondering if there's been any progress made on exporting radar or RWR displays to tablets? I'd pay triple the price of the software for this functionality. Hell, quadruple!

I am having issues. I am not sending or receiving data to the app. I have confirmed my PC IP address and 2 device IP's (all 3 are static). I have confirmed that the firewall items are entered. Even when I turn off my firewall I still have no connection. I have attached my config.lua and export.lua to see if anyone can help. I have used the script auto configurator and everything is green on that.

Sorry that only now, I did not notice. I have been working quite hard on some "news" lately, it is possible that I will be able to say more about it soon 😉

What exactly is the script "wwtExport.lua" used for in the main Export.lua file? I checked on the net and found that is from WinWing, is responsible for something more than lighting up the lamps on the hardware?

It is possible that the script may be blocking data transfer to the application. Disable it in the Export.lua file and check if it works

Yeah I had downloaded a program from Winwing that a teammate said that worked well. It didnt. So I have cleared that out and still the same issue. Here is my entire scripts folder under my saved games.

I think I know what's going on, the script has changed a lot recently, the "update.ps1" file responsible for updating the script has also changed. As a result, he did not download additional, new files. In the attachment you have a script with new files and already changed IP addresses of your devices, replace the files and check if it works.

This change has fixed the issue. I am going to keep a backup of this file just incase I have to do a reinstall again. I will, also, redownload the Update script from your site.

Thanks an huge amount for the help again.

No problem 🙂

This "update.ps1" file is up-to-date at the moment, of course it will also change over time as there will be a few more things added/changed. But I have to implement it over time so as not to cause additional problems. It's best to update the entire script from "time to time" directly from the website (e.g. once every 2-3 months, it doesn't have to be too often heh). Also on fb and in updates in the application I write info if there is a need to update the entire script.

I do not use DCS for while and UFC as well.... Todat I try and I had similar issue content of Scripts\pw-dev_script was really old and different:

image.png

I run update from gui but version was 2021.02.25

in Export.lua i had:

local pw=require('lfs'); dofile(pw.writedir()..[[Scripts\pw-dev_script\Export.lua]])

not:

pcall(function() local pw=require('lfs');dofile(pw.writedir()..[[Scripts\pw-dev_script\ExportInit.lua]]); end,nil)

And in dcs.log I found:

2021-09-08 20:54:31.631 ALERT   EDCORE: Can't execute Lua file D:\Users\xxxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\Export.lua - can't open 'D:\Users\xxxxxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts\pw-dev_script\lib\Fdr.lua'

And old updater exactly do not update all/new files:

Question:

for AoA Indexer should I add:

ExportScript.Config.ExportXSD = true (where X is Your device group to which the IP of the device from the DCS AoA Indexer is assigned)
...
ExportScript.Config.ExportSelfData          = true

like in Readme because in new config.lua I see:

ExportScript.Config.Export4Nav = true; -- true if you want to show position on map on this device
...
ExportScript.Config.WriteNavFile     = false;

and set WriteNavFile to ture

If you have a version of the script from a few months ago, it is best to remove the "old" version of the script and download the new one (don't forget to re-enter the IP addresses in the Config.lua file).

A lot has changed and a lot has been added (also new files which the "old" version of the updater will not update "Fdr.lua" etc.)

The new updater downloads a list of files from the internet so it will be easier in the future 😉

Some "depracated" data has been removed, others are new "WriteNavFile" will be launched soon (I need to fix some minor stuff and test)

And of course, I need to update readme on GitHub 🙂

I see... Yes I download form GitHub... but UFC is working but I can not force AoA and NWS indexers to working.... What I need to add to default Config.lua?

AoA will also need to be updated to work properly with the new version of the script. I think it will be able to update quickly

Fantastic app, thank you very much!

Are there any plans to expand on the F-14 RIO panels, such as the ALE-39, ARC-182 radio, sensor control panel, DDD panel, and datalink?

Also for the F-16 the external lighting control panel, test switch panel, and the audio/ECM panels?

Really enjoying this app, thanks again!

Is Android Lolipop still supported? I tried to use the app again after long time not use it and it kinda stop working. I can still open the app but when I tried accesing one of the functions it was just crashed. The only thing that could work is Ka-50 panel.
Thanks

New version 1.0.2021.0924 avaible

Ok, new update is available. It took a while but a lot has changed "inside" and all the tests and corrections took me a long time.

What's new in this version:
- A-10C: added scratch pad on UFC panel
- A-10C: added separated CMSC panel
- A-10C: removed CMSC panel from UFC on devices with a screen smaller than 7"
- A-10C: fixed the size of some indicators on the UFC panel on small devices
- JF-17: added internal/external lighting panels
- FC3: added Warnings panel
- added background animation in the main menu for tablets in horizontal mode
- data receiving efficiency has been significantly increased
- map: optimized showing position on map
- map: updated support for the new script version
- improved entering the correct IP address in the settings
- added the ability to "hide" the bottom bar when it is visible for some reason (tap somewhere on the LCD displays 1-3)
- text informing about the connection has been changed
- display of buttons that open individual panels has been improved (for older versions of the system)
- removed some deprecated functions

I just one to report a problem that I´m having with the "flaming cliffs" module, I´m using the spo-15 Berzoya in the app and everytime that I get a lock and then the launch warning, the screen goes completely white and the app exits. If I only get a lock everything is fine. Any idea why could this happens. I have the scrips reinstalled form 0 since the last dcs-ufc update as I was cleaning my saved games folder.

Thank you in advance.

I think most people got a second device for this, for example my main tablet is quite powerful I wouldn't want it mounted in my cockpit getting wasted.

Got a cheap entry-level tablet to mount permanently and it works great. Second hand tablets would work too, I find it doesn't need much processing power.

He has mentioned there isn't support coming for IOS at this time. As TAIPAN_ said just above your post is get a cheap Android 7" tablet. Sometimes these can run from $50 - $100 and run it off of there. I run my app on Samsung Galaxy Tab E that i bought my kids 4 years ago.

Hello, I started out with the AOA Indexer to see if I'd have any problems with the UFC prior to purchasing it and I have the same issue as above with the Winwing  wwtexport.lua.  I commented out the two lines and can get the AOA indexer to work, but is there a way to make it compatible with your script so I can use both?  I'd still like to be able to control my Orion's lights.  Either way, now that I have this working, I'll be getting the UFC app.  Thanks!
