ADHS
Hello. Torrenting is going from 0 to 20 KBytes! (I recall old museum modem at 6.5KB). My DLOAD=1.4 MB and the torrenting doesn't using this speed except for secs. In fact i've noticed that is using me for SEEDING by giving me 20KB maximum. I usually down loading torrents (qBittorrent) with 1.4 maximum speed. Edited April 12, 2020 by ADHS Democracy was already invented, while Scrat was eating oak fruits. CalinDee
Yeah, its not awesome. I've just spent the last two days doing a fresh install (new Windows install, figured for once in many years I would actually do a fresh clean install of DCS instead of just migrating it all across. 174GB - 2 days. Download rates were all over the place (http downloads were atrocious, typically theyre ok for me for DCS - not this time, best results were via torrent - but they were still rubbish). Reliable 100Mb link. The rest of my game installs, particularly through Steam came down at my normal 10-11.5MB/s rate. Is what it is :-) It got there in the end. Chump
I used to switch to HTTP download, but now the "torrent" way seems a bit faster (still around 60kb/s). I don't have a great connection, but it should be a tad faster than that!
ADHS
I've found a faster way. Grab the torrents in DOWNLOADS/.torrents once the dloading has started. Stop the torrenting (CANCEL) by switching to HTTP that will fail (at least to me) Use my qBittorrent to download them, Copy them back to DOWNLOADS/.torrents Login and start the same installation again. (It works with modules also) It will find the files and it will proceed to check/expand/install. Thats it! ADHS
c0ff Which settings you are looking for ? PM me. (There too many in there) Glad to send you, but please be more specific. I just used the DCS torrents by loading them into qBittorrent as any regular torrents without relying on DCS torrenting as this was my speed problem.
