As said in your dedicated thread, ultra impressive. Still wondering how you did this.

Many thanks for creating this plugin !

I just received my Stream Deck, and it's amazing for DCS.

Anyway, i noticed that ExportScript adds some performance hit, fluctuating my FPS between 55-60. Instead, without the script DCS runs stable at 60 fps.

Taking a look to the configuration (at DCS-ExportScript/Config.lua), i tried modifying this parameter which defines the poll frequency:

ExportScript.Config.ExportInterval = 0.25

With the above value, DCS runs much better, fixing the FPS fluctuations.

I guess the default value (0.05) may be required for other applications, but probably is a bit high for Stream Deck.

I hope that is useful for someone.

Yes, it was , i love the theory of what this does, but the pain of running it in VR is shocking :(

Out of curiosity, what are you using this for in VR?

As a button box; I found an easier way, which was to get steam deck to behave like a joystick and present dx buttons I don’t need the interactivity ... but I don’t want to push keystrokes either...

stream deck can send key presses without a joystick emulator. This plugin although awesome is not needed for simple keystrokes or send commands. You may be able to do what you are looking for without any additional software.

Does that count also for DX buttons?

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

Are there DX buttons that are not available on keyboard map? Is there another reason that you want to refer to a DX mapped button over the keyboard map? I'm guessing I'm missing something.

Yes that’s true, but, and this a personal preference driven by many years of screwups from half key presses, or key press collisions. A dx button is either on or off. A keyboard press is more likely to resolve to an unknown keyboard state, such as a shift state being locked on etc... which will have other collisions later on.

It usually an edge case, but, it’s one I seek to avoid.

I would have loved to use the mechanism here but it’s simply too costly in cpu cycles because of the way the polling works, and I don’t need the interaction of the button, because I’m in VR. Please don’t get me wrong it’s a great bit of code in what it does, and if I wasn’t in VR I would think it was amazing.

Correct DX buttons are *not* available on the keyboard map.

speed-of-heat, if you only want to use the send commands without the game feedback you could try setting "ExportScript.Config.IkarusExport" to false within the export script config. I believe it will still listen for input commands.

Thanks CT, i will give that a go! The joystick method does seem to work though, so i will likely only do that if i get to a place where i "can't" get a DX button to work!

Really struggling to get this to work on my PC.

Watched the videos a few time reduced my Export.lua to only the code for this plug in with no joy.

DCS Comms won't connect

Please tell me;

Do I need to put the IP of my PC in somewhere?

Do I need to open ports in my router?

Or any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong..thanks in advance.

Does anybody have an F-18 profile for a Streamdeck XL?

I might be able to help. Not sure what file you'd need though.

And if it's the main profile, there's going to be a whole other bunch of aircraft profiles with it. =)

Try this?

This is great and exactly what I was after, it only has the harrier profile but can see all the other planes you have. Do you have profiles for all those too!

Thanks very much for this, I'm hoping to figure out a way to display the nozzle angle for the AV-8B too. nosaMtrevoC has been doing some great work with the F14 here.

It should have had all the profiles for them as well.

Most of them are placeholders, however.

There should be one for the F-14, (partial) F-16, F-18, & Harrier.

Also a BMS partial profile.

Some of the text parts of the startup sequences are just reminders to flip a certain switch or press a button on your HOTAS.

Your mileage may vary.

Hi,

This is my small contribution to the F-14B SD, thank you Ctytler for your great plugin.

Special Thanks to nosaMtrevoC who made a great job here (I use his Warning SD on my MINI SD)

You have to use my modified F-14 Srcipt (originaly by nosaMtrevoC)

Best regards

I recently created a JF-17 UFCP profile for the Streamdeck XL, and put up a video on how to build up more export info than just the clickabledata in one of the modules that doesn't have an official plugin yet.

The first video is on exploring what data is possbile to be extracted:

And the second video is adding the display text of interest (from the UFCP) to the JF-17 module export script:

Attached is the profile with an updated .lua script and icon images.
