tflash Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 http://www.sponauer.com/a-10litening/index.html He speaks about carrying 3 mavericks on 3 station, to compensate having Litening on 9. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
rocketeer Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Currently the A-10's IR Mav can only zoom up to 6X, compared to the SU-25T's Shkval up to 23X! I wonder how much magnification increase does the Litening II pod provide? And after DCS rolls out Black shark and moves on to the A-10A, I wonder if they'd include the litening pod since it can be used on the A-10A (I think). If they can do it that would be so cool, to be able to use FLIR, increased magnification, laser targeting, precision guided bombs etc. but I guess that is day dreaming. My A10C cockpit thread
Eagle Driver Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I think the Super-Speacial-Awesome-Chocolate-Covered-Mega-Pod, Sniper XL is also available for A-10. Sweetness. Deadman Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 A-10C ya gota have the upgrades https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
rocketeer Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Yeah I heard about the wonderful Sniper from Lockheed, supposedly better than the Litening pod, but it seems that the Litening is still more popular. Maybe because it has been around longer, or it's cheaper? Either one is fine with me. But DCS is not making A-10C anytime soon. Sigh. My A10C cockpit thread
