Basic question...

First of, I. So sorry to keep asking stupid question. I just a computer illiterate who loves flight sims.....

 

Trying to figure out how to import a profile for my TM warthog Hotas, I realized I have three folder for DCS

 

DCS

DCS openalpha

DCS openbeta

 

Can I delete the first two ??

 

Also, every time I start the game it asks me if I want to update to the SAME version, then tells me I’m up to date, what gives ??

Well DCS is the Release version, DCS Open Alpha can be deleted as it is no longer needed but for some wierd reason if you like it you can keep it but it is obsolete now..

 

DCS OpenBeta is the Beta version with the latest update but is mainly for beta testing..

 

You can keep 2 of the versions and get rid of Alpha as it is now obsolete.. But seems how you seem to be a non beta test kinda flyer I would just keep the release version DCS..

 

If you have a keyboard difflua and a HOTAS DiffLua you need to put those in a folder in saved games you can name the folder HOTAS PRofiles.. you then go into DCS and goto Option Contorllers, then highlite the column you want to load then import the profile to each different slot..

 

Now if you dont have a DiffLua file you need to create them and you can then sdave them for future use..
