PythonOne Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Just decided to install Lock On again, but I'm not sure which one is "better" to install. I know 1.12b is exactly the same as 1.12a only with some updates for vista driver, but is there any problem installing 1.12b for XP? Does anyone have any personal experience. I also heard that with the 1.12b patch, you no longer have to delete those two trackir files or the resolution ratio wont get screwed up if you enter the options menu, is that true? That's the main reason I'm considering 1.12b. If its not true, then I'm going to stick with 1.12a for XP.
The_GOZR Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 The "b" version ... is actually a beta test optimized for Dual core cpu's and dx9. ....Well.... What? ....... everyone can dream..... isn't it... ? ;)

PoleCat Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 1.12B only adds a starforce update for Vista compatibility. It is identical to 1.12A in every other way. For XP you can use either 1.12A or 1.12B. For Vista you must use 1.12B. Out http://www.104thphoenix.com/
rattler Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I remember that I had a couple of issues with 1.12b. I have xp. I can't think of what they were, only small though. I went to 1.12a and have had no problems. If this helps.Cheers.
classified Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 When 1.13 gets released there will be no more confusion :prop:
