1 - 2 second freeze in game about every 30 seconds or so

Hi,

 

I was getting a 1 - 2 second freeze in game about every 30 seconds or so.

 

I contacted DCS Tech help who got back to me quickly with a suggestion that it could be my Anti Virus.

 

I use Malwarebytes Anti Virus which has four Protections

 

1. Web Protection

2. Malware Protection

3. Ransomware Protection

4. Exploit Protection

 

 

I disabled all of them and the problem was fixed. I then ran DCS

turning each each one of the Protections back on. The culprit appeared to be number 3. Ransomware Protection.

 

 

I have found out if you open Malwarebytes and go to the "ALLOW" section and by Inserting

 

"D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common" (My game is on drive D your location may be different.)

 

In the "ALLOW" section you need to select the "FOLDER" option not the "FILE" option.

 

This should solve the problem without having to actually turn off Malwarebytes.

 

I have no other problems whilst running DCS with Malwarebytes running in the background.
