I love Cold War aircrafts, but the F-106 was only used by the US ... I'd like more an F-104, that was used all over Europe thanks to Lockheed corrupt sales practices :)

I suppose thats the reason they are dragging their feet on the F-4 Phantom II.

I wish someone would do Century series aircraft. Any of them, but I see no developer that is going to be interested in doing that...

I just want the Phantom at this point. We will be getting a F-8 and A-7 which will be cool but why the F-4 has been on the back burner for so long I do not understand as it is one of the most iconic fighters .....

I require to know where you have acquired this mod.

I downloaded it from here:

https://www.lockonforum.de/community/thread/7654-f-104g-starfighter/?postID=84272#post84272

unfortunately the latest version of DCS rendered it AI-only .. it can't be flown by the player. Here you can see it over the Syria map:

It is good to be AI

AI gets all the fun stuff....come on Skynet!!!!

This will be an awesome airplane to fly in DCS(VR)

Hello,

Just checked, and VSN has made available a new version that is indeed compatible with the latest DCS Openbeta, you can download it from here:

https://filehorst.de/download.php?file=dypJdHEH

Place the unzipped folder at /saved games/dcs.openbeta/mods/aircraft/ ... do not copy anything else (like the older VSN mods that required you to copy FC3 files).

Note that you do need to have FC3 installed for it to be flyable. It uses the F-15 cockpit.

+102/106!

Well, Lockheed would have ceased to exist if it weren't for those sales practices as they've literally been on the brink of bankruptcy back then.

The Convair Deltas are simply more interesting though, with internal weapons bays, more missiles and even unguided rockets in foldable launcher racks (102). But I wouldn't mind getting a 104 at all... twilightsmile.png

They posted a very rough 3D-model of an F100. That doesn't mean that they've put down a single line of code on it yet.

Stop seeing funnelbacks where there are none.

Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone.

I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.

Oh I have the 19! I think Over Stratoos is doing a grate job inspite RB hurdles jajaja

Iwill buy and support with my wallet any cold war plane if its reasonably well done.

Former F102/106 pilot;

Lots of details on his channel.

What an era for aircraft.

Kind regards

Yeah I also started to watch Bruce Gordon. Though it was the Millenium7star fellow on youtube who really introduced me to the F-106. Such an absolute beauty and I would love to fly it in DCS and it seems that basically all the documentation down to how to assemble one in your garage is easily accessable on https://www.f-106deltadart.com/manuals_documents.htm

The hard part would be recording the sounds since none of these fly (as far as I know) any more.

  • Thanks 1
