To find your aspect ratio, take 1680 and divide by 1050. You will get 1.6 not 1.333333. Substitute 1.6 anywhere you have 1.333333 when viewing at your monitor's native resolution.... Unless you like looking at flattened aircraft and a short wide world.

OMG S77 you have flat planes and unproportional screen, change aspect ratio to 1.6

Well Boberros- I don't use external views when I fly. I got this right from Cali- but sure- I'll try it out an see if it makes any difference in the cockpit. It's not bothering me to be honest.

Neither do I, but I like to fly formation and get involved in some gun fighting! It's supposed to be a sim, right? So it should look like it does IRL, I suppose... :noexpression:

if you leave aspect ratio to 1.33333 and use wide screen monitor, your screen will be stretched :smilewink: and you never noticed this huh?

No longer active in DCS...

I noticed- but it seemed a minor issue because I was so frustrated with CH manager- that I never flew a whole lot since I got the monitor. When I did - I was more focused on correcting problems than flying....

Besides- Cali gave this to me I figured he knew what he was doing. hee hee.

Everything except the last one, titled AVI, since it's using 640x480, which is still 1.33333.

Konkussion when did I tell you to use 1.33333333, I just posted in lock on UBI forums the I use 1.6. I have been using 1.6 ever since I had my LCD WS montior which has been almost 1 1/2 years now. :chair:

Just found it-he posted 1.6.. Feck..I don't know where I got it

I'll tell ya what happened. You went into the options screen after you used the post on the forum with 1.6 & it all changed back to 1.333333! It's a PITA but can be solved with the following:

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=305855&postcount=1

Just use the bat file and it'll take care of the aspect changes when you enter the options menu & any TrackIR issues that might have been cropping up!
