Change default VR positions for each plane

I think some have said it is, however I myself have never been able to get it to work.

You have to do it in VR, and its important to be seated in your normal position and not move while doing it. I've been able to set a unique default position for each aircraft that needed it.

For me it doesn't work either.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

It works if you save the position, quit, then come back, I come back in that same position. However, when I reset it by pressing Numpad 5, it goes back to default position. And I'd like to know how to change that default position so when I press Numpad 5, it goes to the position I want.

That would be the key for me. I want a set position that I prefer to be the new default position.

i edit the snapviews.lua in the saved games directory, and start by setting to the same as the 2d positions...

That's what hitting Num 5 does with mine. It recenters, based on the position I saved for that aircraft. I saved all of those positions for each aircraft back with 2.5.3 though, so maybe something got broken with subsequent updates that no longer saves the position properly.

Hmm... just tried it again and it works until you restart the game. Then it goes back to original default position.

save the file once its done .

 

and now my head is where it is meant to be, do the same with the a10 to correct its sight problems and and number of other aircraft if you look.
