Landing gear lights come on when the gears are retracted etc. Better Smoke - Better Trees Caucasus - Better Trees Syria - Better Trees Mariana - Clear Canopy Glass

Taz1004
I'm wondering how something like this can happen in the first place. Seems like the way the engine handles luminance map is reversed. And I notice a bit different shading in the cockpit. More contrastier and looks like AO is baked in. New graphic engine upgrade? Nealius
How does stuff like this get by the testing team? Good question. I recall months ago ED held up a broken update and claimed they had "rigorous" testing, but that testing appears to be gone now...
Quadg
cannot read the radar altimeter in the huey or read the warning panel, cannot see if gear is up or down in the spitfire. same with low pressure fuel light. external lights on huey not visible. except for the red when its in shadow. everything seems to have gone very dim.. only two aircraft i have checked. csatlos
A10 warning panel lights and the four lights along where the jettison button is are all black to me... +1 here. I thought it was just my soviet-era PC being unable to handle some kind of new lighting features. Glad to hear it's not just me that can't see any of the annunciator lights. Ivakhir
Same here: A-10C with signal light testing on, so all lights are in fact on. Also, HUD is so dim that it's actually unplayable.
lerxster
For clarity... ...and yes the HUD is really dim too! Reminds me of something: Zaphod Beeblebrox: It's the weird colour scheme that freaks me. Every time you try to operate one of these weird black controls, which are labeled in black on a black background, a small black light lights up black to let you know you've done it. Hey, what is this, some kind of galactic hyper-hearse? :D Edited June 5, 2020 by lerxster Added humorous quote

panph90
a-10 has all the lights indicator with low brightness. The in-cockpit lightning works only with the flood lights, the others are almost invisible. with the f14 all the indicator like the nws are pretty invisible, same with f18. i think all the internal lightning are broken for all the aircraft. ___________________________________ DCS 2.5.6 Open Beta - F-18C, F-14B, F-16C, Av-8b, A-10C, Uh-1h, SA-342, Mi-8MTV2, KA-50 Modules Persian Gulf Map, Nevada Training Map ALIENWARE AREA-51 INTEL Intel I9-9940X - Nvidia 2080Ti 11Gb - 32GB RAM - 4TB SSD Oculus Rift S - FULL VIRPIL SETUP: T50CM2 throttle, T50cm2 Base and Grip, ACE2 Rudder

Sunscreen
Updated to the beta to fix the AI taxi collision issue. Thought I was going mad when I noticed the caution and warning panel backlights gone dark. Then I read this thread. #MeToo
B_Tank88
Su 33 cockpit lights dim, not Was about to post this issue then found this thread. The Su 27 is fine for me, but I get the dim lights issue on Su 33. Photos attached, plane is completely unplayable as most important lights are just too dim. I thought they completely werent working at first. When did this issue come in? I will have to roll back as I want to start the Su 33 campaign. Devil 505
I have noticed the same issue. F-18, F-14 not even visible, Huey barely visible, F-16 I believe same issue.
Nealius
For me the F/A-18 is fine: HUD, DDI, AoA, Warning lights all visible with no change compared to the last version. The F-16 HUD is unreadable. However the MFDs and AoA indexer are still fine.
