Water reflection

Hi,

 

 

I really can't stand the water reflection shimmering. It makes the view very unrealistic and constantly draws your attention to it. Is there a way to turn off the water reflections? I tried all kind of settings but nothing seems to help.

Think if you put water to medium it removes the reflections

Thanks, it helps indeed, does not make it go away totally but improves.

 

Did not even try that as I did not expect that lowering the quality would actually improve the situation :)

I run water at medium with the new clear water shaders... looks really good

There are some issues with water reflections (at least Bignewy acknowledged here that there are still some issues that need to be resolved)

 

I think it's remarkable though, that you hardly hear anyone talk about it really. Maybe only a few of us actually have these issues... Maybe only VR users have this issue... Or maybe people just don't bother to report it

 

Strangly enough though.. Instead of what you mentioned, this effect actually gets worse if I set water to medium. Water to high gives me better results
