Here are two pics from right behind the Tanker with and without the light on. Pretty unrealistic. Then there is the other issue with the Probe light not working with hot starts.

So we either get a light that is barely as bright as a candle or one that looks like it is off of a Police Helo.

It's been the same for me in VR in each and every one of the Open Beta builds for weeks now. The same with the glowing red light on the Hornets left wing...

No problem seeing the basket in this vid but what's more important is the reference on the tanker.

Seems like the tanker would need better lighting. It was there not that long ago but... as usual ED gives us one thing and takes away another, almost every build without fail.:(

 

In my opinion they should just tone down the light intensity by half from what it is now.

Is there a key binding or a switch to turn on the light?

 

I haven't verified it but I think you have to have your exterior lights switch on for the probe light to work and currently the light will only work after the cold start... bug or ED's deliberate quirk, hehe:glare: who knows.
