ED Team NineLine Posted August 28, 2020 ED Team Share Posted August 28, 2020 A photoshop picture is it. Don´t expect anything else. Don't be silly. These are in-game shots of the new clouds. It would make no sense to photoshop this. But thanks for the compliment, that you think they look so good they cant be real. Is dynamic weather part of 2.5.6 or will there be a, new version like 2.5.7? Bourrinopathe
Can't wait for those volumetric clouds. And hopefully the weather system and basic effects will start to show how it can benefit to our combat skills. Here's a rendering technique someone made in Unity that should let us imagine what we could get in DCS: /// ВКБ: GF Pro MkII+MCG Pro/GF MkII+SCG L/Black Mamba MkIII/Gladiator/T-Rudder MkII | X-55 Rhino throttle/Saitek Throttle Quadrant | OpenTrack+UTC /// ZULU +4 /// /// "THE T3ASE": i9 9900K | 64 GB DDR4 | RTX 2080ti OC | 2 TB NVMe SSDs, 1 TB SATA SSD, 12 TB HDDs | Gigabyte DESIGNARE mobo ///

twistking
@Bourrinopathe - that video is really impressive. Would love to see that level of "cloudificiton" in DCS as well. Be aware however, that static clouds are less expensive computational because the raymarching has to be done one time only during loading. For a dynamic simulated sky, you need to constantly update the lighting. DO you mean like live weather updates? So you are flying in current conditions, such as MSFS 2020 does?
