Just some questions:

 

1) Is there a way to parse waypoints (or targets) coordinates from miz files or from Combatflite files and transform it into JSONs?

 

2) Are you looking into capturing JTAC messages coordinates or markers in F10 map to be able to input in the Hornet, A10, F16 systems?

 

3) The ability to program radio presets, weapons parameters, CMS programs would make it really a DTC substitute (until ED code its own in the simulator itself).

 

4)Are you planning to made it a paid app?

 

I would probably buy it.

A clarification about 1).

So if you don’t plan on that someone needs to manually type a json file where waypoints coordinates are stored.

My question was about finding a way to automatize or simplify this process.

Yeah...I realise that. The maker of Through the Inferno is investigating how to export missions generated by the mission out to json to be read by this app.

 

Once it gains a bit of traction perhaps others will follow suit.

 

Whilst it does require someone to maintain waypoints, one person does it once and the entire squadron can download them at once.

 

I am also working on letting the user create separate lists of waypoints so you can keep previous missions ones. Also thinking of a kind of "data card" function where you select freqs, waypoints individually in the app and add them to a personal "data card".

 

But I need to start with a minimum viable product first and these features will be follow ons.

Ok thanks...he should be in the testers team with me...I will ask him directly next time he is online..

Anyway count me in for the app...if you decode for the paid route i will buy it.

I think it will still be useful in vr to save a lot of time inputting things in the jets.
