Downloaded the file on the front page to my downloads folder, now cant open downloads folder as it says "working on it" and never gets any further.

Longest I've waited is 45 minutes before Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get out of it.

Before downloading the file i never had an issue - now i don't know how to bin or delete it as i cannot open the folder in order to delete it!

Anyone else?

DCS crashed with a message like "shader compile etc. I can´t do a sreenshot of this because of the hard crash that forces me to reboot the entire PC ^^

Anyone else with a similar problem?

Ok...I´ve got it now. Was an problem with the VPC Airfield mod what leads to a DX11 error with some obscure omni_lighting stuff.

All fine now. Thx for the help.

Hey @Mustangthanks for this whilst this might work for syria, it makes the water too dark for PG in some sense you might as well be on medium water

I don't know if everyone is the same but the grass has quite a performance hit for me.  It looks far more realistic being thinner but is it possible to shorten it? Not sure if that'll make any difference.

I just ran a quick test against my standard test , and i got a very minor improvement to GPU and CPU frametimes in VR of 0.16 and 0.11ms (so it got better) against 0.92 ... @Mustang its still way too dark in the PG you loose all transparency of the water...

The mod looks great during the day, but if I fly a night mission its too dark to see anything in the cockpit of the F18. All switches and MFDs are very dark even at max brightness and floodlights on. I am also noticing that city lights are extremely dim. Anyone else have this issue? This is the only mod I have installed.

Flew a night mission oil in the water last mission 5 set at 0200, didn’t see that problem? What is your gamma set at?

Gamma is at 2. Not sure what the problem was but simply restarting DCS seems to have fixed the issue. I can see now. Weird.

@Dave317 open grass.fx with Notepad++ and goto line 329:

o.color.a *= input.params.z*1.5; // height scale by distance

edit the figure above in bold to increase/decrease height.

Also a heads up - mod pack v0.95 is uploaded in first post which includes an attempt of reducing the cloud reflections on water surfaces.
