Hi,

I thought that the first value corresponded to the position of the tip of the wake with respect to the ship (this position should correspond more or less to the bow of the ship).

Am I wrong ?

With shipWakeSize = {255, 40} for the CDG :

Hi Urbi, I based my values on the real carrier specs. I agree with Marroux that the first argument is the ship's length, which is correct at 255 for the R91. Attached below is the post by Enrogue on December 6, 2021, on which are based all my wake files. Thanks for your input. Nevertheless, in all cases, the wakes should be more dense by several orders of magnitude to be realistic, and the sea water much less transparent... 🤔 But we can' t do anything about that, unfortunately, only ED can... 🙁 Fly low...

Hi Admiral,

As a great fan of your work and most appreciative user of your mods, i have a request concerning the ship mods, mostly from before 2021. Most of these are giving out errors in either the texture or missle connection points when loading. I started out deleting them all and re-downloading and installing them from the first page, but the errors remain.

Even with your updates ( the *.lodshipwakes) and sanitazion off ( --sanitizeModule('io') --sanitizeModule('lfs')sanitizeModule('os'), they still produce some type of errors.

I know you must be crazy busy, but could you maybe check on these and make some sort of correction ? Some  of the textures are also not loading since the latest updates.

It would be a such a waste to do without your great ships !!

Naming some of them : almost all USS- types / USS America LHA-6 / USNS Patuxent / HMS Duncan / USS Constellation FFGX-62/ San Antonio / Atlantic_Conveyor_SS/ Tarantula Class Corvette

Thanks, everyone for sharing your updates to Admiral’s ships, they were just the touch-ups, that were needed. Now the rest of the fleet will need to get their over hull done.

 

Hey @toan to answer your question, no I did not use a static template but placed them one by one. I was recreating the 2002 George Washington deployment since I have most to all the aircraft liveries for that time. I’m now doing the same in America, but I’m happy with the outcome due to some of the known issues that to my knowledge never got fixed. Which you can see in the screenshots.

Excellent job navyBtown ! 😀 I think making a static template with your superb aircraft deck configuration would be a most valuable asset, indeed  😉 concerning the upside down US flag, it is a known glitch when tranfering the EDM file from Bender to DCS... Admiral is aware of that 😀 Anyway, many thanks for sharing your work, it's very realistic and useful 😃

Yep, I've even downloaded the file again. I loaded it up in modelviewer2, and found that it's trying to use "guntripod_d", which is a texture not available.
In fact, the miniguns themselves are missing their regular texture in the file. The Iranian gunboat has it, and having both installed seems to help the Syrian one load up the proper texture. Load up the Syrian boat on its own and the miniguns are textured with only their normal maps. The "gunmount_b" normal map is also missing in the package, but also found in the Iranian boat download.

I'm guessing you're not seeing an issue because you've already got "guntripod_d" as part of some other mod, which I'm not using.

I loaded up the America and put a few static objects on the ship and do not see any "floating" objects as your pictures show.  Also, the US Flag on my ship is not upside down.  Not sure why your objects are floating.  As for the flag being upside down it could be that texture is conflicting with another one of the Admiral189's ships. Had that problem before but don't recall which ship(s).

As I posted I see your America has an additional set of flags mine does not have.  Looks like we are using different models from Admiral189.  His first page shows version 1.0.1 is available.  Perhaps I am using version 1.0.  Something the Admiral should be able to answer.

Hey RWC, So far i haven't seen any issues with textures on all the ships you mentioned. Not sure what Atlantic_Conveyor_SS is. That's not a model i created.  Usually after any updates i always check the ships to make sure there isn't any issues. I'm currently using the latest Beta version. As you can see below all textures are attached! 

Navy, i corrected the flag issue last year. Regarding any floating objects. I don't see that either. 

If need be i will upload my version of the America.

My apologies on the conveyor thing, thought that was yours ! As mentioned before on the USS America LHA-6, i got that message in the log file. Please do upload your updated version, Admiral's version is ALWAYS better 😛 🙂

Sorry for the late reply everyone has been a bit busy lately. So, I went ahead and deleted my copy of America and downloaded V1.0.1 just to start fresh, and it seems I had an older version of the model, everything is now normal but the flag is still upside down but only when with one of the other ships are in the mission just like the textured issue on the Kidd. I think the bug is with the San Antonio but it could be with the Oak Hill, it's hard to say since the mission I was running uses 6s of Admiral ships.
