Sttutering Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I have a big problem on my laptop and I don't know how to resolve.

When i play DCS (with a normal or low settings) sometimes i get Stuttering (no micro Stuttering) that can dure 2-5 seconds. So i download the msi afterburner to see what is happening, and i discovered that when the stutters happend, my cpu % and my gpu % go down (between 5% to 0% both) Also i check some other stuff like temperature and memory usage and all is okay. ( I use 12gb of my 16 gm ram, i use 3 gb of my 4 gb of the GPU, and the temperature was fine). Also i disable windows defender, so that is not the problem, also make some change on nvidia tu gain performance, etc. So if everyone knows why my CPU and GPU go down let me now pls. Thanks!!

pdt: i run my game on a hdd and my windows on an ssd.

My Laptop: Windows 10 (64-bit) / 9° Intel® Core™ i7-9750H / Nvidia gtx 1650 4GB GDDR5 128-bit / 16GB DDR4 2400MHz PC4-19200 SDRAM SODIMM (Ram)/ 1TB 5400 rpm (HDD) + 128GB M.2 SSD PCIe NVMe

That is a very similar problem as the one on this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=249533

But if you are sure that your game (all the drawers) is allready added on your antivirus exceptions, try to acomodate DCS on the SSD, please. That´s how it´s intended lo work.

Try this one too if problem is not solved moving DCS to the SSD: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=282910

And don´t forget to put your laptop on the maximun power setting on windows energy saving modes.

Thanks for the help!! Finally i buy a ssd card and my stutter disappeared. Probably my hdd was so slow, producing the stuttering.
