Yep, just a new skin like the ADA mod.

:)

Do not hesitate to ask if you need some help about it by the way :) Our hands are already really full with the AdA Mod v2, but we will be glad to share the tricks we used :)

Good luck with your project, it looks incredibly promising :)

Hub.

Now on to the final texture mapping area....the cockpit."

And Hub we appreciate it. I am sure we will be in contact with you.

Hi

Are the spoilers animated on the airbrakes arg# ?

I'm far for being a Tomcat specialist, but it feels weird IMO... The cat isnt' a liner...

Well, perhaps it's how it really works... Just wanted to point it to the dev team, for additionnal check :)

Well, it is opening when the Cat touched down,(correct me if i'm wrong) so maybe it would work better with the gears compression.

I actually believe they are roll spoilers and work with the ailerons/tailerons.

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Clarification....The spoilers are coming up slightly as the flaps are full down for improved roll control.

I have seen Tomcat pictures showing this and many may have sen this looking out the window in passenger jets. You can see the spoilers popping up and down for roll control at slower speeds.

No ailerons is correct.

The tail control surfaces on F-14s are known as "rolling tails", in that the aircraft does not have ailerons on the wings to control roll. Roll control is instead provided at low speeds by wing-mounted spoilers and at high speeds by differential horizontal stabilizer deflection. This configuration also produces side force, or yaw, which contributed to the inadvertent spin entries. This large tail configuration is to aid in takeoff from aircraft carriers, by providing more pitch moment.

In LO spoilers will be working allways. But this is better than they would not work.

ps and Tomcat does not have ailerons :)

Well, if spoilers are used only at low speed, you're right, one can't reproduce this exactly in LO.

But one may try to animate the spoilers on the upper side of the ailerons arg# :

arg# value => spoiler pos. (°)

0=>0°

0.5=>still 0°

0.75=>15°

1=>30°

(in this example, I assume that spoilers full extention is 30°).

In the same time, and on the same arg#, one may animate the "rolling tail", using this time the full argument range.

Cheers

Hey Sabertooth: Will the TOMCAT has Glove Vane ?

Atop the midnight tarmac,

a metal beast awaits.

To be flown below the radar,

to bring the enemy his fate.

HAVE A BANDIT DAY !

No as stated the D does not use it, also found this info at the top of the site of the link you posted.

"Glove Vanes are a kind of stabilizers for supersonic flight. They were designed for the F-14A, the F-14D does not feature such devices. They are retracted at subsonic speeds and will be extended automatically when going supersonic. "

By the way, (supersonic) speed isn't an available data when you're about to animate a 3D model for LockOn.

We encounter this "loss" on the future Mirage 2000.

If anyone can proove me wrong, I'll be very happy of that ! :)

Very nice work on the SuperBug, best wishs for a not-too-painful testing & debugging time ;)

Well, I have created our first varient off the FA-18F aircraft.

The FA-18F Tanker. :thumbup:

This model has been placed over the IL-78M tanker AI plane.

I have also lined up the basket to now hook up to our right side

fuel probes on both the FA-18F and the F-14D.

This plane has a 380 gal. centerline tank and 4-480 gal. tanks.

This new mod works very well and looks very cool.
