I realized the same thing when i entered a new waypoint as waypoint 1. Also for me it was not just the distance, the bearing was also wrong. But switching to waypoint 2 and switching it back to waypoint 1 fixed the issue.

I experience the same behavior. The HSD showed the steerpoint in the correct position however the HUD was directing me in another direction much further away.

Probably related to the phantom waypoint issue already reported but without a track we can not be sure.

It’s interesting that each map has its own unique “phantom point.”

 

That is it’s a different heading and distance on each map.

 

That, to me, is intriguing. Why does it come up differently on each map and not one common combo of heading / distance on each?

Have you noticed if it seems to point to a specific corner of the map or something? Or maybe to an absolute point on the Earth.

It doesn’t. Each map has its own unique phantom destination.

PG .. I don’t recall exactly.
