REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I run a gtx 1080ti, 32 gb ram, SSD, i7- with fairly conservative settings, and this map still give me FPS drops over populated areas. Case in point: Spitfire free fly quickstart, looking right toward Manston area. This is the only map that produces these kinds of drops for me, and I own them all.

It clearly has too much detail at the ground level in urban areas. They need to turn the poly count down some how. I have a 1080ti 32bg ram i7 at 4.6 ghz and STILL get 26fps in close ups on urban areas.

ouky1991 Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I've got a new system: i5-10600K + RTX 3080 + 32GB RAM installed on M.2 SSD. below 40 FPS with 4xMSAA and default shadows, ON 1080p RESOLUTION! Flat shadows make it playable but look ugly. This is bad even for Early Acces. I hope this is gonna get sorted ASAP. I don't understand why was it neccesary to have so many tiny details you wont notice even in helo. Is it so complicated to include options for scaled down LOD? I'm gonna do more tests and see how it goes.

I have an i7 running at 4.6ghz 32gb ram and a oc 1080ti and still only get 24fps looking into urban areas close up. The Syria map runs beautifully and easily as detailed, what is the plan? Its clear that to use combined arms/ww2 asset packs in the urban areas adds another dimension to the game play but NO ONE IS PLAYING IT ON MULTIPLAYER!!. I payed good money for an all but useless map as even if i just wanted to fly around in the worlds most lonesome game of 1 v 0 it'd still run badly near built up areas. I understand that it can take time to sort but radio silence just makes us feel a bit ripped off.

REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted November 23, 2020 Author Posted November 23, 2020 Update: I noticed something interesting last update. I ALWAYS- and I mean ALWAYS have only FLAT shadows for terrian. I know they are a resource hog, and I can't see much difference anyways. However, when testing, I saw that mine were turned ON to full. Either I have misclicked by accident, or it has been reset during a patch or something. When I turned them back to FLAT, I get very got performance in the Channel, including over populated areas! Make sure to check this yourself if you have FPS/stutter issues still.
