Using TGP to set markpoints

Can someone advise of the proper procedure to designate markpoints using the TGP. Confusion exit wether pressing the MK# HSI while the TGP is over a target is enough, or must we press sensor select right for area track and TDC depress, then press OSB fir MK# on HSI.

Just reading up on that; if there is NO target selected from TPOD (i.e. no TDC depress) then it will Mark YOUR location.

If you have a target designated on the TPOD then pressing it will mark the TPOD spot.
